    yannikkeller.de, 2014 to 2019 old.yannikkeller.de

Where it started: a school chess page that grew into Mindgames Master, a whole gaming portal.

It began around 2014 as a school computer-science project: Schachseite, a German chess page with articles, accounts, comments, a playable board and a home-made chess engine.

From 2016 it grew into Mindgames Master, "your intellectual gaming portal": live and correspondence chess with Elo ratings, Connect Four, Pentago, Crainys (neural-net brains that battle each other), a genetic-algorithm platformer, Bouncyball, the Game of Life, Qango and a handful of joke pages.

All hand-written PHP, HTML and JavaScript on a shared host. Sessions were text files keyed by IP address, because the host's php.ini could not be changed.

In 2026 it was revived from the old server backups and rebuilt with Flask and Svelte, keeping the old look, the old texts and the old algorithms.
